Life-Changing Work in Arnhem Land: Senior Occupational Therapist
Location: East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, Australia
About Us
Born from a love of Arnhem Land, our mission began with a simple belief: no one should have to leave their family and community to access therapy.
Our multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists fly together to the most remote corners of East Arnhem Land, delivering culturally responsive, practical, and life-changing care.
We work alongside families, local services and community leaders to help each person live as independently and meaningfully as possible.
The Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with a strong background in paediatrics, who is confident, adaptable and motivated by purpose driven work. This role offers a unique balance of autonomy, adventure and impact. You will travel by road and small aircraft to homelands and remote indigenous communities, delivering services that genuinely matter.
This is not a clinic-based role. It is hands on, community-embedded practice in one of Australia’s most extraordinary regions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive functional assessments across home, school and community settings.
Understand and respond to the cultural, physical and emotional needs of clients, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Deliver culturally respectful and responsive care in remote Indigenous communities.

Provide capacity-building interventions targeting cognition, executive functioning, sensory processing, motor planning and daily living skills.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and participate in case conferencing and service planning.
Work autonomously in remote settings while maintaining professional standards.
Prepare high-quality clinical reports, funding justifications and documentation aligned with NDIS expectations.
