About the Opportunity

We are looking for passionate and caring Wardsperson to join us in this meaningful role to support clinical staff in the delivery of exceptional patient care. As the Wardsperson you will be responsible for:

  • Providing patient assistance and support clinical staff in the delivery of personal hygiene, lifting, repositioning, transfers and transportation of patients.
  • Assisting in the preparation of deceased patients for transfer to the mortuary and provide support for family viewings as required.
  • Ensure the safe erection, transfer and removal of bed and bedside equipment, medical gas cylinders and other supplies

  • Demonstrate genuine care for patients’ wellbeing and comfort, with the ability to interact respectfully with a diverse range of people
  • Understand the importance of infection control and hygiene protocols
  • Be reliable, punctual and willing to work a roster spanning 24/7 services
