About the role

The Test Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining test processes and systems used in optical transceiver manufacturing. This role ensures accurate product validation, stable test performance, and high test yield through test system development, calibration control, and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

Develop, validate, and maintain test processes and systems, including functional test, performance validation, and calibration procedures

Perform and analyze test parameters such as BER, eye diagram, optical power, and signal integrity

Troubleshoot and resolve test failures, correlation issues, and equipment-related problems

Establish and maintain test specifications, calibration standards, and test procedures

Ensure proper test station calibration and correlation across production lines

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) including test development, validation and qualification

Optimize test efficiency and reduce test cost

About you

Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related discipline

5+ years of experience in optical or high-speed electronics testing

Experience in optical transceiver manufacturing or telecom/datacom products is preferred

Strong understanding of optical and electrical test principles, including eye diagram analysis, Bit Error Rate (BER), jitter measurement, Optical Modulation Amplitude (OMA), Extinction Ratio (ER), and receiver sensitivity

Hands-on experience with test equipment: Digital Communication Analyzer (DCA), Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), Optical Power Meter, Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA)

Knowledge of test calibration and correlation methods, test system architecture and automation, optical transceiver structures (TOSA, ROSA, BOSA, PIC, DSP), and manufacturing flow (SMT → DB → WB → AA → Test)
