An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Yard Forklift Operator to join a busy heavy equipment facility based in Wacol.
This is a high-volume yard role working around large machinery, heavy components and ongoing dispatch activity. You’ll be responsible for keeping freight and equipment moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with consistent full-time hours and a genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Duties

• Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently throughout a busy industrial yard
• Load and unload trucks carrying oversized, awkward and high-value machinery components
• Move heavy equipment and materials throughout the yard and workshop
• Coordinate multiple movements while maintaining strong safety awareness
• Work closely with mechanics, fitters and dispatch teams
• Assist with dispatch preparation, stock movements and general yard duties
• Maintain an organised and efficient yard during periods of high activity
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Skills & Experience

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy industrial yard, warehouse or heavy equipment environment
• Confident handling large, awkward or oversized freight
• Experience loading and unloading trucks
• Strong situational awareness and ability to safely operate around people, vehicles and heavy machinery
• Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Physically fit and safety-focused
