Position: Intermediate Accountant

Salary: $75k - $80k plus super.

Job Brief: Compliance, Business Advisory, Financial & Management Accounting, Client Relationships.

ABOUT THE FIRM

My client is a boutique accounting firm, located in the South East suburbs of Brisbane. If you are an experienced accountant looking to develop your accounting career without having to commute to the CBD, this may be the ideal role for you.

They view tax and compliance as a key service but what they really enjoy is the value add aspect - financial forecasting, interim reporting, business advice, strategic consulting and all staff are trained and mentored in those areas.

You will experience a sense of client ownership and have true ability to proactively manage your client set with a holistic view with the support of the firm leaders.

The Directors are very technically astute so they serve as excellent mentors - and in general they are down to earth and genuinely supportive people who care about their staff.

You’ll work autonomously in managing your own set of clients and will report directly to the Directors.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

CA or CPA in training (ideal but not required)

2+ years' experience in public practice accounting and tax

Strong communication skills

Willingness to continue learning and developing skillset

A culture like this is a rare find along with ongoing technical development (better than many larger firms), access to some really decent clients and the ability to service them in a non-traditional accounting way.
