The Role

We are currently seeking a NSW Workers Compensation Senior Case Manager to join the team at our office in Bella Vista NSW. Applicants able to work in our office in the Melbourne CBD will also be considered.

We are seeking both permanent part-time and full-time staff.

They will be responsible for all aspects of claims management, including:

· Initial contact with worker, employer and doctor following injury notification

· Assessing and determining liability, including arrangement of necessary investigations

· Injury management activities, including risk assessment, case conferencing and preparation of injury management plans

· Assessing and approving treatment requests

· Checking and entering weekly benefit payments

· Periodic claim cost estimation

· Maintaining regular contact with injured workers and other relevant parties

· Participating in strategic claim reviews with the client

· Maintaining detailed and accurate file notes

· Strategic management of complex workers compensation claims

· Liaison with legal providers and attendance at PIC when required

Skills and experience

Candidates will require:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in workers compensation including complex claims management

· Solid understanding of NSW workers compensation end-to-end claims management

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· The ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and at different levels within an organisation

· The ability to work autonomously and within a team

· The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines, with excellent time management skills

· A high level of attention to detail

· The ability to work across multiple IT platforms

Experience in self-insurance or the health/rehabilitation sectors is appreciated but not essential.
