Make an Impact in Renewable Energy

Plico is a fast-growing Australian clean energy company on a mission to help households take control of their energy through affordable solar and battery solutions. By combining smart technology with our Virtual Power Plant (VPP), we're helping accelerate Australia's transition to a cleaner, smarter energy future.

With operations across multiple locations and a passionate team of innovators, we're building a business that delivers real impact for our customers, communities and the environment. We're now looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in strengthening our finance function and supporting the next stage of Plico's growth.

About the Role

You will partner with the wider Finance team and business leaders to transform Plico's finance capability, improve financial governance, and build scalable reporting frameworks to support a rapidly growing organisation.

This role offers a rare opportunity to combine technical accounting expertise with commercial analysis and business improvement initiatives. As the finance transformation progresses, the role will evolve into a broader Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) position, providing strategic insights to support business performance, growth and decision-making.

Key Short-Term Responsibilities

Finance Controls, Governance & Audit Readiness

Review existing financial data, processes and internal controls to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose as the business scales.

Improve governance frameworks and strengthen financial control environments.

Develop and document accounting methodologies aligned with current accounting standards.

Identify areas requiring process or accounting enhancements and implement practical solutions that support ongoing operational efficiency.

Support audit readiness and help establish best-practice finance processes.

Financial Reporting & Business Intelligence

Develop scalable financial reporting and business intelligence capabilities.

Deliver reliable and streamlined reporting for management, Board and external stakeholders.

Improve the quality, accessibility and accuracy of financial data and insights.

Support data analytics initiatives that drive informed commercial decision-making.

As the finance function matures, you will take on broader strategic and commercial responsibilities, including:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting and forecasting.

Performance reporting and financial modelling.

Pricing, margin and competitor analysis.

Operational performance analysis and business case development.

Generating actionable insights and recommendations to support growth initiatives and investment decisions.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a high-growth environment and enjoys building capability from the ground up.

You will be:

Structured, disciplined and delivery-focused.

Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of outcomes.

Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast-moving business.

Commercially astute with strong business judgement.

Confident engaging and constructively challenging senior stakeholders.

An excellent communicator who can translate complexity into meaningful insights.

Motivated by improving processes, systems and standards.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Qualified CA ANZ, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years' experience in external audit, ideally within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.

Strong working knowledge of AASB / IFRS accounting standards.

Experience applying, reviewing or documenting technical accounting positions.

Demonstrated experience reviewing, designing or documenting financial processes and controls.

Strong written communication and reporting skills.

Desirable

Post-qualification experience in commercial finance, financial control or FP&A.

Experience working within a high-growth, scaling or private equity-backed business.

Exposure to business intelligence, financial modelling or commercial analysis.

Why Join Plico?

Be part of a purpose-driven company helping accelerate Australia's renewable energy transition.

Work directly with senior leaders and influence key business decisions.

Shape and elevate the finance function during a period of significant growth.

Gain exposure across finance transformation, governance, commercial analysis and FP&A.

Join a collaborative, innovative and values-driven team.

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.

If you're a technically strong finance professional looking to step into a highly visible role where you can make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help power a cleaner energy future with Plico.
