About the role

This role encompasses Plant Maintenance Procurement, CAPEX Project Procurement, Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management, Supplier & Contract Management, and Procurement Operations & Governance. You will manage procurement of maintenance-related goods and services including Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (ME&I) and Control systems, Rotating Equipment and Static maintenance, Safety assets and consumables, Maintenance consumables, and Calibration and inspection services. You will develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and execution strategies, lead sourcing and tendering activities for engineering services, construction contracts, process equipment, package equipment, installation services, and plant upgrades and modernization projects.

Key responsibilities

Plant Maintenance Procurement:
- Manage procurement of maintenance-related goods and services including:
- Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (ME&I) and Control systems
- Rotating Equipment and Static maintenance
- Safety assets and consumables
- Maintenance consumables
- Calibration and inspection services
- Support plant maintenance teams in sourcing critical spares and emergency requirements.
- Develop sourcing strategies to improve equipment spares availability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Establish framework agreements for frequently used maintenance services and spare parts.
- Support shutdown, turnaround, and major overhaul procurement activities.

CAPEX Project Procurement:
- Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and execution strategies.
- Lead sourcing and tendering activities for:
• Engineering services
• Construction contracts
• Process equipment
• Package equipment
• Installation services
• Plant upgrades and modernization projects
- Conduct commercial evaluations and bid analysis.
- Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and payment milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure procurement milestones support project execution schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks impacting project delivery.

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management:
- Develop category strategies for maintenance and project-related spend.
- Drive competitive bidding and market benchmarking exercises.
- Deliver measurable procurement savings and value improvement initiatives.
- Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles in supplier evaluations.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, supplier consolidation, and process optimization.
- Support regional and global sourcing initiatives where applicable.

Supplier & Contract Management:
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers.
- Build strategic partnerships with key maintenance and project suppliers.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement programs.
- Negotiate and administer:
• Service Agreements
• Framework Agreements
• Blanket Purchase Agreements
• Purchase Orders
• Engineering and Construction Contracts
- Resolve supplier disputes and commercial issues.
- Ensure contractual compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards

Procurement Operations & Governance:
- Manage procurement transactions using SAP, Ariba, or equivalent procurement systems.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and audit requirements.
- Maintain complete sourcing and contract documentation.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Promote procurement best practices and governance standards across the organization

Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant Procurement working experience
- Project procurement management is a must
- Experience in the oil and gas industry
