About the role

A number of public and private hospital services within driving distance of Perth are seeking Speech Pathologists for locum and fixed-term contract roles, with accommodation provided for regional roles.

There is also one Perth-based private hospital role available, which is part-time and non-clinical.

Locum rate approx. $65–$80 per hour + Super, depending on the role

Caseloads / work may include

Mixed paediatric and adult caseloads

Child development services

Paediatric feeding

Outpatient communication and dysphagia

Aged care and inpatient caseloads

Surgical, medical, rehab, ED, outpatient and geriatric services

Non-clinical menu testing/compliance work in a private hospital setting

Key responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and manage communication and swallowing disorders

Work across paediatric, adult, inpatient, outpatient and community caseloads depending on the role

Provide therapy, treatment planning and clinical documentation

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams

Support safe and effective patient care in hospital settings

For the private hospital role, conduct menu testing and document results/recommendations

About you

Qualified Speech Pathologist

Full working rights in Australia

Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility

Experience in hospital, paediatric, adult, dysphagia, rural or mixed caseloads would be highly regarded

Able to work independently and as part of a team
