You will provide mechanical maintenance engineering support at a phosphate mining operation, working closely with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability and performance. You will undertake general maintenance engineering activities, investigate equipment failures and provide practical engineering solutions.
Working FIFO from Townsville on an 8/6 Wednesday-to-Wednesday roster, you will work 12-hour days and contribute to maintenance planning, work scope development and equipment improvement initiatives. This is a contract opportunity through to the end of June 2027, providing the opportunity to make a direct impact on site maintenance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide mechanical maintenance engineering support to site operations
• Investigate equipment failures and identify improvement opportunities
• Develop maintenance work scopes and engineering solutions
• Support equipment improvement and reliability initiatives
• Undertake general maintenance engineering activities
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and operational teams
About you
• Mechanical engineering qualifications and relevant site experience
• Strong capability in maintenance engineering and failure investigations
• Experience developing work scopes and equipment improvements
• Practical approach to solving maintenance and reliability challenges
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work a 8/6 FIFO roster from Townsville
