We are looking for an experienced Site Mechanical Fitter to join our team and support the installation, assembly, maintenance and commissioning of mechanical equipment across our projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working on site, solving problems and being part of a team delivering large-scale industrial projects.

About the Role

As a Site Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical installation, assembly and commissioning of equipment and systems on project sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

Mechanical installation, assembly and fitting of equipment and components.

Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings and P&IDs.

Installing pipework, pumps, valves, tanks, mechanical equipment and associated components.

Carrying out fitting, alignment, adjustment and mechanical works as required.

Assisting with testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

Working with supervisors, engineers, trades and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely and to a high standard.

Identifying and resolving mechanical issues on site.

Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and site requirements.

Completing required site documentation and reporting as required.

Travelling to project sites throughout Australia.

About You

You will be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, or have at least three years' relevant industry experience that may substitute for formal qualifications.

You will also have:

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

Current driver's licence.

White Card.

Ability and willingness to travel and work on project sites throughout Australia.

Experience in the water and wastewater, industrial, manufacturing or construction industries will be highly regarded.
