What you will be doing
You will be responsible for assisting with design coordination, reviewing drawings and technical documentation, maintaining design registers and supporting communication between consultants, contractors and client teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to transition off the tools and build a long-term career in electrical design, data centre infrastructure and large-scale project delivery.
Your role will include:
Supporting the Design Manager in coordinating electrical design activities across multiple projects.
Assisting with the review and verification of electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Coordinating design information between consultants, contractors and client teams.
Preparing and maintaining design registers, drawing registers and project documentation.
Assisting with Revit, AutoCAD and PowerCAD modelling and drawing updates.
Participating in design workshops, coordination meetings and project reviews.
Liaising with site teams to ensure designs meet construction and installation requirements.
Managing design queries and assisting with technical clarifications.
Identifying design clashes, constructability issues and opportunities for improvement.
Supporting the delivery of accurate, compliant and high-quality design documentation.
What you will need
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong electrical background with a genuine interest in moving into design and engineering within a fast-paced project environment.
Qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience on commercial, industrial or infrastructure electrical projects.
Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit 360, PowerCAD or BIM environments.
Electrical Engineering degree (completed or currently studying).
