Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 (excluding Superannuation)

About the role:

We have an opportunity for a Channel Marketing Specialist to join the Marketing, Communications and Social Media team at IPD.

This role will lead the delivery of marketing campaigns, promotions, and communication strategies to strengthen IPD Group’s position with channel partners, including electrical wholesalers and their customers.

Working closely with product managers, suppliers, and sales teams, the role delivers targeted campaigns, trade communications, events, digital marketing, and merchandising programs to support revenue growth, partner engagement, and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities:

Channel Marketing Strategy, Planning & Execution

Developing and implementing advertising and campaign plans aligned with sales and business objectives

Providing strategic advice to leadership and stakeholders on effective approaches to reach target electricians

Managing end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns, including creative, copywriting, media production, and placement, ensuring timelines and budgets are met

Analysing sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to inform marketing decisions

Identifying and interpreting emerging market trends to support future planning and brand positioning

Conducting customer surveys and analysing results to identify gaps in product offerings, presenting findings to leadership and product teams

Supporting business growth by developing and executing marketing programs, including product promotion, pricing strategies, and multi-brand campaigns

Coordinating campaign execution with sales teams and distribution partners, including electrical wholesalers

Contributing to and attending quarterly business reviews with internal stakeholders and key suppliers

Supporting major electrical wholesaler campaigns and initiatives

Ensuring consistent customer experience across all channel touchpoints

Managing the production of marketing collateral, point-of-sale materials, trade events, displays, and signage

Developing and maintaining merchandising programs, including branch guidelines, layouts, and customer experience standards

Supplier & Agency Management

Partnering with brand and creative teams to managing external agencies and suppliers (e.g. creative, print, display, PR)

Coordinating briefing, sourcing, production, and distribution of marketing materials within agreed timelines and quantities

Budget, Reporting & ROI

Managing allocated marketing budgets and prioritising channel activities

Reviewing campaign performance and measuring return on investment against defined objectives

Internal Collaboration

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to delivering integrated marketing campaigns through wholesale channels

Building internal alignment and gaining stakeholder support for marketing programs

Working with product managers and suppliers to supporting product launches within the channel

About You:

Experience & Skills

Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B, supplier, partner, or channel marketing

Proven experience managing relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and negotiation

Ability to plan and manage projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met

Proficiency in Microsoft Office to support project management and budget tracking

Solid understanding of marketing channels, including digital and trade communications

Experience using CRM systems, databases, and marketing tools to support campaign execution and tracking

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not essential.
