What you will be doing

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter and Turner to join a busy maintenance team in Welshpool. Working within a precast concrete manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.

Duties include:

• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment

• Performing workshop-based bench work and mechanical fitting tasks

• Repairing and maintaining air tools and pumps

• Conducting basic hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and troubleshooting

• Completing basic fabrication and welding activities as required

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective repairs

• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment

• Assisting with general maintenance and operational requirements across the site

What you will need

• Mechanical Fitting Trade Certificate (essential)

• Extensive workshop-based fixed plant maintenance experience

• Experience repairing and maintaining air tools and pumps

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Basic fabrication and welding experience

• Current C Class Driver's Licence

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening

• Full Australian working rights

Highly Desirable:

• Experience within the concrete or precast industry

• Forklift Licence

• EWP Licence
