Every test tells a story. At Pathology Queensland (PQ), our work underpins patient care across the state by delivering expert laboratory services in anatomical pathology, chemical pathology, haematology, immunology, microbiology and genomics. We also provide specialist scientific testing and advice that protects public and environmental health and supports Queensland's coronial system.

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Administration Officer to join our Skills Development Unit.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to undertake tasks in a dynamic environment including meeting deadlines, demonstrating commitment to participants and workplace outcomes, working with limited supervision and adhering to workplace standards, procedures and agreements.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion in the absence of a decision maker, meet deadlines, establish work priorities, organise meetings and appointments.
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills on issues as they arise.
  • Ability to effectively use industry standard software, Adobe suite, the Microsoft Office suite and communications applications.
  • Awareness of and ability to apply and adhere to organisational policies, including policies relating to human resources, workplace health and safety, and finance.
