The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced event professional to join a high performing sales and events team at one of Sydney's most iconic waterfront venues. As Event Manager, you'll take ownership of the planning and management of corporate and leisure events, working closely with the Senior Sales Manager to shape every detail from confirmed booking through to a seamless handover to the operations team.

You'll thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment, planning everything from intimate dinners to large scale celebrations for up to 2,000 guests. This role is suited to a proactive, resilient operator with sharp attention to detail and a genuine passion for getting every detail right.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage corporate and leisure events from confirmed booking through to handover to the operations team
• Prepare detailed event documentation including run sheets, event orders and floor plans
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process
• Coordinate with suppliers, production teams, catering and internal stakeholders ahead of each event
• Conduct site inspections and pre-event briefings with clients and suppliers
• Brief the operations team thoroughly to ensure a smooth handover and flawless delivery on the day
• Ensure all events comply with safety, risk management and venue guidelines
• Contribute to post event reporting and debriefs, identifying opportunities for improvement

The Candidate

You're an organised, energetic event professional who thrives on delivering exceptional experiences in a fast moving venue environment.

• 1–3 years' experience in event coordination or management, ideally with an operations or venue background
• Confident, resilient and comfortable managing shifting priorities
• A go-getter with a strong sense of ownership and a can do attitude
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Available to work occasional weekends for large scale events (approx. 3 times per year)
