About the role

The Delivery Driver is the daily face of Taren Cleaning Supplies to its customers. The role delivers cleaning products and consumables reliably and safely to commercial clients — including childcare centres, offices, and facilities — across Sydney Metro, the South Coast, and the Newcastle / Hunter / Gosford regions, typically moving 100–200 cartons per day across 10–20 drops. The role exists to get every order to the right customer, complete and on time, while representing the business professionally on every site.

Key responsibilities

Complete the daily delivery run as scheduled: typically 10–20 drops and 100–200 cartons per day across Sydney Metro, with occasional regional runs to the South Coast and Newcastle / Hunter / Gosford.

Load the vehicle in drop order, verifying each order against the picking slip / delivery docket before departure — right products, right quantities, right customer.

Unload and place stock as directed at each site (storerooms, cleaning cupboards, loading docks), not just kerbside drop-off.

Obtain proof of delivery (signature or photo) for every drop and report any discrepancies, damages or rejected items to the office the same day.

Follow site-specific access and delivery procedures, including sign-in requirements and appropriate conduct at childcare centres and other sensitive sites.

Present professionally and communicate courteously with site contacts, cleaners, centre directors and facility managers.

Pass customer requests, complaints, stock queries and reorder opportunities back to the office promptly.

Conduct daily pre-start vehicle checks; keep the vehicle clean, secured and fuelled; report defects and service requirements immediately.

Drive safely and legally at all times, planning regional runs with appropriate rest breaks and realistic timing.

Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with SDS requirements: correct segregation and restraint of loads, spill awareness, and safe manual handling of cartons and drums.

About you

Current NSW driver licence (C class) with a clean driving record.

Current Working with Children's Check

Proven delivery driving experience, ideally multi-drop commercial routes.

Physically fit for repetitive manual handling — loading, unloading and moving 100–200 cartons per day, including trolley work, stairs and awkward access.

Reliable, punctual and able to work unsupervised on full-day regional runs.

Sound knowledge of Sydney metropolitan roads; comfortable navigating regional routes (Wollongong / South Coast, Central Coast, Newcastle / Hunter).

Basic smartphone competence for run sheets, proof-of-delivery capture and communication with the office.

Desirable: Experience delivering cleaning products, chemicals or other consumables to commercial sites.

Desirable: Forklift licence (LF).
