We are looking to engage an experienced and qualified Lead Financial Analyst to join a major Federal Government environment driving the strategic finance governance, advice and budget oversight to directly influence executive decision making for a tier one digital transformation program.

Candidates with a Ngetaive Vetting 1 clearance will be preferred for this position.

Your responsibilities include:

• Oversee a small finance team responsible for internal budget management, capital asset management, and external budget submissions.
• Provide expert financial advice and high-level strategic guidance regarding Tier 1 program funding to Directors, Executive staff, and governance committees.
• Drive internal and management accounting processes, ensuring robust oversight of program budgets and project accounting functions.
• Direct capital asset management and set internal policies to support end-of-year financial reporting and statement development in compliance with accounting standards.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships across business areas, senior executive leadership, and central government departments.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

• Post-graduate qualifications and/or professional accounting membership (CA or CPA)
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience effectively analysing and managing large, complex Tier 1 program budgets within complex public sector or enterprise environments.
• proficiency across enterprise financial accounting systems
• advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), and exposure to tools like Azure DevOps.
• Proven capability in leading financial teams, strong data analysis skills for complex budget modelling, and high-level written and verbal communication skills to present clear financial insights to executive leadership.
