About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Naracoorte, South Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial strategic role in overseeing and fine tuning our day to day operational activities. This is a new role to the business, and as such, we are looking for someone with experience who can step straight into the role.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, driving efficiency, improvements, and implementing processes that directly contribute to the success of our organisation. This role reports to senior management and provides operational leadership across our business unit.

What you'll be doing

Oversee daily operational activities and staff schedules, ensure all processes are functioning efficiently and effectively

Develop, implement and monitor operational policies, procedures and systems to enhance productivity

Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost control and optimal resource allocation

Lead and supervise operational staff, providing guidance, training and performance management

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase productivity and ease of use.

Liaise with management on a regular basis to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the organisation

Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular reports for senior management (including Quality, Safety and Efficiency)

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and quality standards

Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure service delivery and value for money

Address operational challenges and implement corrective actions as needed

What we're looking for

Proven experience in an operations management role or similar business management position.

Strong understanding of operational processes, systems and best practices relevant to business unit management

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience in staff supervision and performance management

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Understanding of financial management, budgeting and cost control

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Understanding of compliance requirements and quality standards.

Proficiency with different software and applications
