Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking a Locum General Medicine Registrar to support a longer-term block at a regional hospital.
This role is suited to a registrar with recent General Medicine experience who is confident supporting ward-based care, patient reviews, clinical documentation, management planning and escalation of care when required.
The placement is available across an extended period from August through to the end of January 2027, making it a great option for doctors seeking steady locum work over a longer block.
Clinical Environment:
General Medicine Registrar role within Murrumbidgee LHD
Regional hospital setting with varied medical presentations
Long-term locum block available
Shift patterns may include evenings and nights depending on roster requirements
Supportive team environment with escalation pathways available
Key Duties:
Review and manage General Medicine patients
Support ward-based care and clinical reviews
Complete documentation and handover
Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams
Eligibility Criteria:
Current AHPRA Registration
Recent General Medicine registrar-level experience
Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
