About the role
The company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Welder / Metal Fabrication Operator responsible for precision tank/jacket fabrication and welding work. This role involves welding, assembly, grinding, and quality inspection of stainless steel and special alloy materials to ensure products meet high-precision manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and precision manufacturing, and be able to work in an environment with high quality and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, titanium, and other engineered materials
Carry out precision welding for CAN (tank/jacket) structures, thin-wall cylindrical parts, and repair components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols
Operate the following metal fabrication equipment:
Shearing machine
Rolling machine
Bending machine
Grinding and polishing equipment
Cutting equipment
Perform other non-welding tasks and equipment operations as assigned by supervisors
Conduct assembly, tack welding, grinding, deburring, and surface finishing
Ensure weld quality meets company and customer standards
Use measuring tools for dimensional inspection and visual checks
Handle weld repairs and troubleshooting
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S requirements
Strictly follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality
Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities
Requirements
Education & Experience
Technical school / vocational diploma / associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Precision Engineering, or related fields
2–5 years of welding and metal fabrication experience
Experience in vacuum chamber fabrication, special metal materials, or precision stainless steel welding is preferred
Technical Skills
Proficient in TIG welding (GTAW), especially for thin stainless steel sheets and special metals such as titanium
Basic MIG welding skills are an advantage
Able to read mechanical drawings and welding symbols
Familiar with dimensional tolerances and precision assembly requirements
Able to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Knowledge of welding defects, distortion control, and surface finishing processes
Preferred Qualifications
Welding certification is preferred
Experience in semiconductor, medical, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing industries is preferred
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Continuous Improvement concepts
Soft Skills
Detail-oriented with strong focus on welding quality
Good problem analysis and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong safety awareness
Willing to work overtime or shifts when required
Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate and collaborate with China-based stakeholders.
Work Environment
Metal fabrication and welding workshop environment
Exposure to welding heat, metal dust, and machinery
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times

On-time completion of manufacturing tasks
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Welder / Senior Fabricator (Optional)
Train junior welders
Assist in welding process optimization and validation
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) projects
Lead welding issue analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Welder / Metal Fabrication Operator | Basic salary: $2000-$2300 | 5 Working days a week | Gross salaries around $2800-$3500++
