Business Development Consultant

Make a real difference — and build a rewarding career

Are you passionate about reducing the disability employment gap?

Can you move the dial on getting employers to see the benefits of employing someone with a disability?

At BENEFICENT, we believe meaningful employment changes lives.

We’re looking for a Business Development Consultant who is passionate about building employer partnerships and creating sustainable job opportunities for people with injury or disability.

If you’re motivated by results, confident engaging with employers, and driven by purpose, this could be the role for you.

People with injury or disability face significant barriers to employment. In this role, you’ll be a key advocate — working directly with employers to showcase the value, capability, and benefits of inclusive hiring, while supporting participants into long-term, meaningful work.

About the role

You will:

Build and maintain relationships with local employers

Work closely with Career Coaches to place participants into suitable roles

Reverse-market participants to employers, highlighting skills and strengths

Negotiate employment opportunities and support successful placements

Attend employer forums and networking events

About you

Experience in sales, business development, or recruitment

Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills

Self-driven, organised, and able to manage your own workload

Passionate about helping people succeed (disability experience valued but not essential)

What’s on offer

Attractive base salary + generous performance incentives

Supportive, values-driven organisation

Opportunity to make a real social impact

This position is based at Beneficent’s Head office at Richmond, there is opportunity to work from home as negotiated

Requirements

Eligible to work in Australia

Current driver’s licence and insured vehicle (km reimbursement provided)

Willing to complete Criminal History and Working with Children Checks
