About the role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a registered nurse who has an advanced level of autonomous, clinical and professional practice in child health nursing care. They support the planning of care for children and families with complex needs and vulnerabilities by optimising their journey through working in partnership with the family. With a strong focus on child and family health and wellbeing outcomes, they enable enhanced access to services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

· Demonstrate depth of knowledge, skills, experience, and competence as an RN in Child Health nursing practice with an ongoing commitment to:

o Advancing clinical knowledge and skills in family focussed care.

o Providing collaborative care and engaging in reflective practice that positively impacts client outcomes.

o Working with integrity and commitment to client, service, and organisation goals.

· Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication, and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard in the Women, Children and Family division.

· Demonstrates expert level of contemporary clinical child health knowledge, expertise and skills in child and family practice and leadership enabling the delivery and supporting high quality care provision.

· Demonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to practice collaboratively within the child and family health service and the broader health care team to deliver high quality care.

· Demonstrated advanced and effective communication, relationship development and maintenance and change management skills.

· Demonstrated ability to be an effective child & family health professional with capability for high level engagement across the spectrum of stakeholders including patients and families.

· Demonstrated legislation / policy knowledge and the ability to develop documents supporting the application of same.

· Exemplifies the West Moreton Health Professional Practice Model by demonstrating person-centred care, professional excellence, safe and effective care delivery, commitment to quality and safety, and collaborative practice.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
