Senior Finance Manager (65K-75K)

About the Organization

Our client is a prominent, Global independent ship management company headquartered in Asia. Managing a vast international fleet with an extensive shore and seafarer network across multiple global locations, the organization is currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Finance Manager, to lead and mentor a dedicated team of finance professionals. The role requires a global oversight spanning key international hubs including Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and Antwerp.

Core Responsibilities

Consolidations & Statutory Oversight: Direct comprehensive group financial consolidation cycles, guaranteeing absolute precision and adherence to statutory reporting mandates and budgeting frameworks.

Board & Executive Reporting: Spearhead the delivery of monthly consolidated financial packages for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, translating complex data into actionable insights concerning business drivers, risks, and strategic opportunities.

Global Finance Alignment: Collaborate seamlessly with regional and local finance divisions to execute overarching financial agendas, enforce rigorous reporting discipline, and synchronize operations across varied international jurisdictions.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Maintain strict adherence to evolving financial regulations, statutory reporting standards, and updated accounting frameworks.

Audit & Stakeholder Relations: Direct pivotal phases of external audits, liaising effectively with senior auditors and internal stakeholders to swiftly resolve intricate accounting, reporting, and internal control challenges.

Process Automation & Operational Excellence: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, standardizations, and robust control enhancements to foster scalable, future-ready financial operations.

Policy Governance: Drive the regular review and optimization of Group accounting policies to align with top-tier industry practices and regulatory changes.

Digital Transformation: Direct or co-lead digital evolution initiatives—such as advanced ERP upgrades, automated reporting frameworks, and data visualization dashboards—to elevate enterprise decision support.

Strategic Business Expansion: Provide vital financial oversight and support for emerging corporate ventures, including specialized areas like Environmental Compliance.

International Tax & Structuring: Partner with internal teams and external tax advisors to navigate global tax planning, transfer pricing obligations, and cross-border commercial frameworks.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Co-drive advanced forecasting, comprehensive budgeting, scenario modelling, and rigorous performance assessments to shape strategic execution.

Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership, delivering commercial challenge and strategic decision support for key investments and operational performance initiatives.

Candidate Profile, Education, and Qualification Requirements
1. Educational Credentials & Professional Qualifications

Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Professional Certification: Mandatory professional accounting qualifications are required.

2. Professional Experience Requirements

Total Experience: 13 to 15+ years of progressive finance expertise.

Career Foundation: Ideally originates with an early-career background in a Big 4 accounting firm (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, or EY).

Subsequent Exposure: Followed by complex roles within multinational corporations (MNCs), group finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or finance transformation projects.

3. Core Competencies & Skills

Commercial Acumen: Superior capability to synthesize complex financial data, diagnose commercial impacts, and present pragmatic, data-driven recommendations to executive boards.

Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication aptitude, exhibiting the maturity, executive presence, and tact required to challenge norms constructively at the senior management level.

People Leadership: Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and scaling high-performing finance teams, establishing clear benchmarks, and managing complex deliverables under strict temporal constraints.

Strategic Vision & Resilience: High adaptability and commercial curiosity, capable of navigating fast-paced, ambiguous global environments while driving meaningful strategic improvements beyond standard reporting.

4. Language Proficiency

Primary Language: Full professional fluency in English is essential.
