About the opportunity

To support our continued growth, we have the opportunity for Trade Qualified and experienced Diesel or Automotive Mechanics/Rotating Equipment Technicians to join our national team, on a permanent, full-time basis for long-term maintenance contracts. These roles will be a 15:13 roster with company funded travel from any Australian Capital City with location across various sites in Australia. To successfully execute the role, you will require strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with experience on gas compression packages and well-site assets. Knowledge and experience with Waukesha, Caterpillar and Jenbacher Gas Engines and Ariel and Frick compressors will be an advantage.

15:13 roster on offer with work across various maintenance facilities mostly located in QLD's Surat Basin

Permanent, full-time role with salary ranging from $126,000 - $164,000 based on level of experience & expertise

Immediate start available

Altrad Asset Services will arrange company funded transport from any Australian Capital City to our remote sites or client locations and work vehicle provided as required.

About you

You're a safety-minded, team-focused tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and contributing to a strong site culture.

You'll bring:

3 years' experience is desirable in a similar role

Full Australian work rights – passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate, or valid work visa

Hold the following Nationally Accredited Qualifications:

Trade qualification as Engine Reconditioner, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic or Plant Mechanic

Experience with Waukesha, Caterpillar and Jenbacher gas engines and Ariel and Frick gas compressors would be an advantage

Current Australian Drivers Licence (C, MR or HR)

Construction Induction Card (White Card) – must be current and valid

High Risk Work License – Forklift (LF), Dogging (DG) – Highly Desired

First Aid/CPR

PMASUP236B Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle

Statement of Attainment - MSMWHS217 - Gas Test Atmospheres

Ability to multi-task and work autonomously

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening

Genuine commitment to safety – you follow procedures, wear your PPE properly, and speak up when something doesn't look right

Team player who backs up your crew, communicates well, and helps maintain a positive site culture
