Estimator

We are a dynamic and growing Perth-based residential and commercial building company located in East Perth, and we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.

About the Role

As our Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our residential and commercial projects. Working closely with our in-house design and construction teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, obtaining subcontractor pricing, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring projects are accurately costed from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.

Review architectural drawings, engineering documentation, and specifications.

Source and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Liaise with our in-house architects and designers to provide cost advice throughout the design process.

Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and design intent.

Prepare detailed take-offs and project budgets.

Evaluate project risks, scope gaps, and pricing discrepancies.

Assist with tender submissions and contract pricing.

Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and supplier relationships.

Support the construction team with cost information throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator within the residential and/or commercial construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current building practices.

Excellent understanding of residential construction costs and estimating principles.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills.

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans accurately.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Experience with Buildertrend is highly regarded.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What We Offer

Full-time permanent position.

Salary package of $100,000 - $120,000 + Super, depending on experience.
