About the role:
Join the vibrant Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team at the University of Canberra, where your skills will directly shape meaningful placement experiences for students across diverse academic disciplines.
As a WIL Placement Advisor, you’ll be a key player in coordinating and supporting placement activities. This role demands someone who can navigate tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and occasionally incomplete information while maintaining composure, professionalism, and clear communication. You’ll work closely with faculty, students, and industry partners to ensure placements run smoothly.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide placement administrative support to faculty staff, industry partners and students, particularly regarding placement requirements, expectations and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of placement activities on InPlace and other systems.
- Liaise diplomatically with stakeholders ensuring accurate and consistent communication of WIL policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Navigate challenges with diverse stakeholders and resolve misunderstandings with empathy and professionalism.
- Support continuous improvement of WIL processes through active planning and review.
About you:
You bring strong customer service skills, a proactive mindset, and a knack for building relationships, even in complex or ambiguous situations. Your attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities and collegial approach make you a trusted team member and a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Candidates with education or health placement experience will be preferred.
