As a Geotechnical & Survey Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's growing business based in North Melbourne. In this independent position, you will work predominantly in the field conducting geotechnical investigations and surveys. High-quality geotechnical reports and survey plans for various projects.

Duties:

• Conduct geotechnical fieldwork including drilling and sampling.
• Perform soil logging and field testing.
• Conduct site inspections to assess site conditions.
• Operate and maintain geotechnical/survey equipment.
• Provide onsite technical support to the office staff.
• Prepare accurate geotechnical reports and survey plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and OHS regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to improve operational efficiencies.

Skills and Experience:

• Civil engineering, surveying, or geotechnical geology qualifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of Melbourne soils and site classifications.
• Basic surveying fieldwork experience is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
• White/Red Card holder with relevant OHS certification.
• Australian driver's license to operate a manual vehicle.
• Hands-on experience operating field equipment and drilling rigs.
