Details: This is an exciting and rare opportunity to lead reserve management in the ACT. This role is core to delivering conservation and visitor services across the ACT by the Parks and Conservation Service, a statutory body established under the ACT Nature Conservation Act. The role of Senior Director, Parks and Partnerships, is responsible for delivering high-quality environmental, asset and community outcomes through effective leadership, stakeholder engagement, program management, and the development of collaborative partnerships that support the protection and sustainable management of the ACT's natural and cultural heritage. We are looking for a highly motivated, professional, energetic individual to take on this challenging and rewarding role.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in natural resource management or environmental management or other relevant field is essential.
  • This position may require a pre-employment medical
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 14 September 2026 until 28 February 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
