About the role
3-6 month role with potential to become permanent.
The HR Business Partner supports KOPWA's strategic and operational goals through delivery of the People Plan. Working with the CEO and other KOPWA leaders to identify, develop and implement solutions across a range of human resource functions including workforce planning, the management of performance, employee relations, WHS, organisational design and staff development.
Key responsibilities
Workforce planning and development
Recommend and implement approved best practice P&C that is innovative and meets the objectives of KOPWA
Identify and monitor the organisation's culture so that it supports the attainment of the organisation's goals and promotes employee satisfaction and retention
Undertake staff surveys and action a strategic plan responding to results
Monitor employee health and well-being and foster a safe, positive workplace culture including the development of employee workplace safety, health and well-being initiatives, programs and strategies
Manage KOPWA's WH&S Compliance, chair the WH&S committee, RTW Processes and Workers Compensation Processes
Design innovative recruitment strategies that meet the needs of the business, ensuring the attraction and retention of appropriate staff
Manage the recruitment process, including shortlisting, interviewing, referencing and hiring of qualified, vetted and appropriate staff
Provide support, advice and coach managers in all employee relations activities including performance management, conduct, behaviour and grievances
Prepare regular P&C reports for KOPWA's Board of Directors and maintain metrics that provide insight into the health of KOPWA's workforce
About you
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
A minimum of 5 years HR experience in a complex environment highly regarded
Understanding of broader business operations
Ability to provide strategic insight and have a 'big picture' approach to business operations
Excellent communication skills
Strong people management skills
Outstanding time management skills
