Travel Allowance: $27.00 per day

About the Role TRS Resourcing is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians and Automotive Electricians to join a specialist equipment manufacturer in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

This opportunity would suit qualified tradespeople with experience across heavy vehicles, industrial electrical systems, PLCs, control systems, wiring looms, diagnostics and equipment installation.

The position offers long-term project continuity, with a strong pipeline of work extending through 2027 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical assembly, installation, servicing and maintenance
• Work on heavy-duty vehicles, prime movers and specialised commercial equipment
• Fabricate and install electrical enclosures, wiring harnesses and components
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams, engineering drawings and workshop documentation
• Perform electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Install, configure and test PLCs and control systems
• Route, terminate, label and test wiring looms
• Ensure work meets safety, quality and technical requirements
• Work independently and as part of an experienced workshop team

What You’ll Need

• Relevant electrical or automotive electrical trade qualification
• Industrial and/or automotive electrical experience
• Experience with PLCs, control systems or vehicle-mounted electrical equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering documentation
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Basic personal hand tools
• Two recent professional referees
• Current residence in Melbourne, Victoria
• Legal right to work in Australia
