About the role

The role of Interior Architect will be involved across the full design process, from developing design briefs and conducting pre-design research to conceptual design, detailed development, regulatory submissions, site inspections and construction completion. You will work closely with clients, authorities, project administrators and other project stakeholders to translate creative design concepts into practical, buildable and high-quality spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing and refining design briefs based on project requirements.
• Conduct pre-design research and site investigations, including reviewing RLP, SIP, DIP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Develop initial design concepts and creative solutions through research, brainstorming and analytical design.
• Ensure design proposals comply with relevant planning, building and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise and consult with relevant authorities on specific regulatory requirements.
• Develop designs in greater detail to support Development Control Submissions and other relevant submissions.
• Prepare outline specifications covering preferred materials, quality standards and construction methods.
• Develop exterior, interior and landscape spaces in detail while maintaining overall design consistency.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction adheres to the approved design intent.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues arising during project execution.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in architecture, interior architecture or interior design, locally or overseas.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design capability and involvement across different project stages.
• Strong passion for architecture, interior architecture and interior design.
• Good knowledge of colour selection, materials and finishes.
• Good understanding of design development, detailing, construction and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant design software, including Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Revit and PowerPoint.
• Strong design sensibility with good attention to detail.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients and project teams.
• Proactive, conscientious and solution-oriented.
