The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant/Accounts Payable professional to join a rapidly growing and highly successful business based on the Northern Beaches. This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of transactional AP work and broader accounting exposure, while being part of a close-knit and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
• Invoice processing, coding and batching
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
• Processing payment runs
• Downloading and reconciling bank statements
• Vendor account reconciliations and creditor statement reconciliations
• Processing staff expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions
• Assisting with month-end close, journals and reporting requirements
• Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc accounting tasks
• Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and responding to phone enquiries
• Supporting the wider finance team where required

About you:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant position
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive, team-first attitude and willingness to assist where needed
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Resilience, adaptability and wants to join a fun team!
• Experience using Xero/Myob will be highly regarded, though not essential.
