We’re seeking an experienced Driver Trainer & Assessor

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused professional with heavy vehicle experience to join a growing, well-established organisation.

The Role

Based in the Perth office, you will be responsible for the seamless new employee training.

Assess, onboard and train heavy vehicle drivers.

Provide new employees with an outline of organisational history, systems, policies and procedures.

Deliver training programs, toolbox sessions and practical coaching.

Conduct inductions and VOC's

Develop and maintain training materials and competency assessments.

Partner with Operations to identify training needs and improve driver capability.

Promote a strong safety culture, teamwork and continuous improvement across the business.

Criteria

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification, with experience in training and assessing the competence of heavy vehicle operators

Current MC License with heavy vehicle driving experience.

Strong understanding of transport operations and industry best practice.

Excellent communication and coaching skills with a passion for developing people.

Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle legislation, fatigue management and compliance requirements.

Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across the business.
