Job Title: Christmas Experience Area Manager (Seasonal)

Location: Sydney & Surrounds, NSW

Employment Type: Contract / Seasonal (July 2026- January 2027)

At Scene to Believe, we create magical photography experiences for families across Australia – including our iconic Santa photography activations in shopping centres nationwide. We're looking for an energetic, people-focused leader to oversee multiple Christmas sets across the Sydney region, ensuring every family who visits us walks away with a memory that lasts a lifetime. You get a direct line to SANTA

This is a seasonal leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll lead frontline teams, manage daily operations, and be the go-to person for both your teams and centre management – all while helping to deliver the magic of Christmas.

This role is unique, creating memories for people is one of the best experiences in the world.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading & Supporting Teams

Lead, motivate, and support Site Managers and frontline teams across multiple locations

Foster a positive, values-led team culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and teamwork

Model and reinforce high-performance behaviours and a commitment to exceptional customer experiences

Recruit, onboard, and train seasonal staff (excluding Santa Characters, which are centrally recruited)

Operational Excellence

Oversee daily operations across multiple Christmas sets, ensuring each site delivers a safe, seamless, and magical customer experience

Monitor service quality, presentation standards, and customer feedback – taking corrective action where needed

Act as the operational point of contact for centre management, resolving issues promptly and professionally

Ensure all sites comply with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations

Rostering & Workforce Planning

Oversee the creation and publishing of accurate weekly rosters for all sites in your region, ensuring shifts are fully covered with trained and compliant team members

Conduct weekly compliance checks to ensure all team members have valid Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and completed mandatory training

Approve timesheets and ensure submitted hours align with approved rosters

Proactively identify and resolve coverage gaps before trading hours

Financial & Operational Reconciliation

Own daily financial reconciliation for each site in your region, ensuring all sales and transactions are reviewed and confirmed

Investigate variances, missing transactions, or system anomalies promptly

Reinforce correct POS processes at site level to protect revenue integrity

Safety & Wellbeing

Enforce WH&S procedures and monitor compliance across all sites

Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all team members – addressing physical and psychosocial risks including wellbeing, bullying, and harassment

Ensure incidents, hazards, and concerns are reported and escalated through appropriate channels

Who You Are

You're a natural leader who thrives on keeping things running smoothly. You're calm under pressure, adaptable, and know how to bring out the best in your team. You are fun, Energetic, and playful. Loving Christmas is a plus.

You'll bring:

Proven leadership experience in a customer-facing environment – retail, events, hospitality, or similar

Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you know how to keep stakeholders informed and build strong relationships

Excellent problem-solving abilities – you can think on your feet and find solutions quickly

Experience with rostering, workforce planning, or team scheduling

Confidence with financial reconciliation and attention to detail

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within your assigned area

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

It would be great if you also have:

Experience in event photography, Christmas activations, or seasonal operations

Experience using rostering or HR systems (e.g., Tanda, Deputy)

A passion for creating memorable customer experiences

What We Offer

Short-term seasonal contract

Competitive salary: $67,500 – $70,000 per year (pro-rata)

Working Arrangement

This role is seasonal, aligned to our peak Christmas trading period. You will be required to work across the Christmas season, with full availability required from approximately October through to late December.

Travel within your assigned region is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential.
