We are seeking an experienced and reliable Machine Operator / Mixer Operator to join our growing manufacturing team based in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.

Working within a chemical manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for operating mixing equipment, production machinery and supporting manufacturing processes while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with strong machine operating experience and a current forklift licence.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Flexibility required to move to Afternoon Shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm) when operational needs require

Key Responsibilities

Operate industrial mixers and manufacturing equipment

Follow production schedules and batch instructions accurately

Monitor production processes and complete quality checks

Process line and production line operation

Inventory control and stock management

Loading, unloading and movement of raw materials and finished goods

Operating a counterbalance forklift to move pallets and stock

Manual handling of materials as required

Work safely alongside plant and equipment in a busy manufacturing environment

Complete production and inventory records using computer systems

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Adhere to all OH&S policies, procedures and safe operating practices at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment

Experience operating mixers, processing equipment or production machinery

Current Forklift Licence (LF)

Minimum 2 years' forklift operating experience, including counterbalance forklift operation

Experience moving pallets, stock and raw materials safely

Computer literacy and experience using inventory or production systems

Experience with inventory control and stock management

Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely

Strong understanding of workplace safety and safe operating procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitude
