About the role

Parliament of Tasmania offers a supportive environment to enable our employees to do the best work of their career. We’re looking to secure a new Finance Co-Ordinator to support the Finance and Property Services Unit in maintaining and continuously improving financial processes across finance operations. The Finance Co-Ordinator provides specialist support, advice and analysis on financial processes, internal controls and compliance obligations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency in financial operations.

As a trusted colleague, you’ll have professional flexibility to perform the role whilst being empowered to build a sense of community at work. You’ll be reporting to the Manager, Finance and Property Services.

About Us

The Parliament of Tasmania is a meeting place where elected representatives meet to make laws, authorise the expenditure of public funds, scrutinise the government of the day, and give a voice to their constituents in the electorates. The Parliament is made up of three (3) separate Departments consisting of House of Assembly, Legislative Council, and Legislature - General.

Location

We foster a collaborative and engaging workplace. As such, this role is required to be performed in person and on site in Hobart and may involve work at additional locations depending on operational requirements.

- Excellent time management skills including demonstrated ability to prioritise, plan and organise work, exercise initiative, and appropriately apply judgement to ensure delivery to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A current ‘Registration to Work with Vulnerable People’ and ‘National Police Record Check’, or able to obtain these if requested.

Essential Requirements
