EXPERIENCED FARM HAND / MACHINERY OPERATOR IN DULACCA , WESTERN DOWNS, QUEENSLAND

About Us

Parkinson Bros is a progressive, family-owned broadacre farming operation run by a small, collaborative team across 4,850ha in the Western Downs, with the main farms near Dulacca, as well as country near Jandowae. We are a growing operation and looking for someone wanting to grow with us.

About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Farm Hand with a minimum of 2 year of experience to join our team to assist with the day to day running of the farm. We are looking for someone who has the right attitude and enthusiasm for the cropping industry. Attitude is the only thing that we can’t teach, everything else we can bring to the table.

· Join a growing business that uses modern equipment, zero-till farming practices and 12m controlled traffic systems.

· Experience with Greenstar guidance system an advantage

· Operating Fendt tractors, New Holland header, Weedit Camera Sprayer, Western Star and Kenworth trucks

· Duties will include:

o Cultivating, spraying, spreading and harvesting the crops while operating GPS-guided machinery

o General maintenance and upkeep of machinery, fences and buildings

o Truck driving if licenced (MC licence an advantage but not a requirement)

o In-loading and out-loading of grain as well as general maintenance at our grain storage facility

· Modern, single air-conditioned accommodation is available on property, with wifi and a work vehicle provided

· Generous above award wages to be negotiated based on your experience

About you

· Passionate about agriculture and machinery

· Familiarity with agricultural equipment, GPS and precision tools

· A valid driver’s licence

· Ability to contribute in a team environment and take ownership of tasks when working independently

· MC licence advantageous but not essential
