About the Role

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a process-driven professional to step into a critical management position within a major national asset development program. This role is responsible for establishing, embedding, and maintaining robust engineering governance frameworks, technical authority systems, and process controls.

This is a sophisticated, high-profile position designed for someone who thrives on structure, compliance, and driving technical excellence across large-scale, complex infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Frameworks: Create, implement, and maintain strict engineering governance processes and assurance frameworks across the program.

Document Control & Authority: Author, develop, and maintain the master Engineering Manual, alongside managing the Delegated Authorities and Authorised Persons Register.

Committee Leadership: Manage the Engineering Authority Committee, acting as Committee Secretary and ensuring all design change requests follow the correct approval pathways.

Compliance & Capability: Ensure all internal personnel, consultants, and external contractors meet rigorous Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons (SQEP) standards.

Stakeholder & Reporting: Prepare high-level governance documentation, technical reports, and committee papers for executive review.

Looking For

A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Engineering project exposure/background will be looked upon favourably - others considered)

Proven experience operating within a formal engineering governance framework, ideally within highly regulated/governed or complex infrastructure settings

Exceptional administrative and organizational capability, with a meticulous eye for detail, process optimization, and risk mitigation.

A sophisticated communicator who can liaise seamlessly between technical engineering teams and corporate governance functions.

Security & Eligibility: Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Due to the sensitive nature of this program, candidates must hold or be fully eligible to obtain and maintain a high-level federal government security clearance.

To Apply

This Adelaide-based role requires a project-focused professional who enjoys being in the office and steering high-stakes corporate governance.

Please submit your current CV and all relevant candidates will be contacted promptly for a confidential discussion.
