About the Company
The San Telmo Group is a Melbourne-born hospitality group operating five unique restaurants — San Telmo, Palermo, Asado, Pastuso & Robata. Each venue is united by fire, quality ingredients and unforgettable guest experiences. Founded in 2011 and still based in Melbourne, we are a team of passionate hospitality professionals who believe great food deserves great service. It’s an exciting time for the Group, with San Telmo Brisbane — our first interstate expansion — opening at the end of June 2026.
About the Role
Located in Melbourne's CBD, San Telmo is one of Australia's most celebrated Argentinian restaurants, renowned for premium produce, traditional asado cooking and warm, authentic hospitality. We are currently seeking two full-time Restaurant Supervisors to join our leadership team.
This role is ideal for hospitality professionals with strong service experience who are looking for development and a genuine long-term career pathway. While previous leadership experience is advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates with the attitude, maturity and ambition to grow into senior leadership roles within the Group.
As a Restaurant Supervisor at San Telmo, your day-to-day will involve:
• Leading service shifts and supporting daily venue operations
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and managing guest feedback
• Coaching and developing front-of-house team members
• Running pre-service briefings and maintaining service standards

• Supporting recruitment, training and team development initiatives
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years' hospitality experience
• Experience in a semi-fine dining or fine dining environment
• Leadership experience advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication skills and confidence in a fast-paced environment
• Looking for development and a long-term career in hospitality
• Hospitality qualifications or certificates highly regarded
• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen
• Availability to work full-time across a rotating 7-day roster
Culture
People enjoy working here because we treat hospitality as a craft, not just a job. We invest heavily in training and development, maintain rosters that respect your time outside work and consistently promote from within. One of our current Directors started as a Kitchen Hand — that is the kind of growth we make possible.
Benefits
• Generous pay, tips and bonus structure
• Permanent full-time employment
• Structured 38–40 hour workweek with genuine work-life balance
• Fully funded external training and development opportunities
• Staff dining discounts across all five venues
• Monthly appraisals and development plan reviews, so you will always know how you are tracking!
• Work with and learn from some of Melbourne's most respected hospitality professionals

About San Telmo
Following the Argentine ethos that eating, drinking and most importantly life are there to be enjoyed with friends, family and lovers.
From midday to late at night we offer a shared menu bringing people together just like a family Asado in Argentina.
In our endeavour to capture the essence of Argentine culture and cuisine, we have imported a bespoke 2.5 metre parrilla charcoal grill, hand made by Pirincho, a lifelong master of the craft. He is regarded as one of the most important parrilla craftsman in the world. Pirincho’s previous customers include former Argentine presidents, the Ferrari workshop in Modena, and the VIP restaurant in the Barcelona FC Stadium.
