About us:
Sustainable Life Group is a dynamic and fast-growing general advice licensee that was founded in 2016 with a simple yet ambitious goal; to make life insurance accessible to all Australians, whilst supporting advice practices in navigating the ever-changing landscape of regulation and compliance. Today, we’re in the Top 20 Licensees as highlighted in the latest NMG report, March 2026.
Our technology platform is not just a tool but a lifeline; it streamlines efficiencies, lowers the cost to serve, manages compliance requirements (without compromising on the client experience) all while empowering the client to make informed financial decisions.
At Sustainable Life Group, we're more than just a technology-backed advice platform. We're partners in building a sustainable, compliant, and successful life insurance future with consumers at our core.
About the role:
As a Practice Development Associate (PDA), you'll be the day-to-day relationship manager for a portfolio of Authorised Representatives (ARs), helping them build more productive, efficient and compliant businesses.
As the heart of our Practice Development function, you'll be the primary point of contact between the licensee and your allocated practices, providing operational support, coordinating client outcomes and ensuring ARs receive an exceptional experience throughout every stage of the client journey. You’ll also help bring our practice development strategy to life by supporting AR growth, improving operational efficiency and driving consistent service standards across the network.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Build trusted relationships with your allocated panel of Authorised Representatives, acting as their primary operational contact.
- Own and manage your panel's workflow, ensuring outstanding requirements, follow-ups and client matters are proactively managed through to completion.
- Regularly engage with ARs to understand their challenges, identify opportunities and improve their overall experience with the license.
- Support the delivery of practice development initiatives, growth programs and business improvement activities, including reviews, reporting and performance insights.
- Train and support ARs in the effective use of CRM systems, operational processes, compliance obligations and business tools.
- Coordinate and support practices throughout the complete client lifecycle, including new business, underwriting, policy implementation, renewals, reviews, claims and retention across multiple stakeholders including insurers, underwriters, medical providers and third parties.
- Handle AR and client enquiries via phone and email, ensuring a responsive and solutions-focused experience.
- Act as an early-warning system for the business, spotting patterns across your panel, surface signals to leadership and turn what you see on the ground into insight the network can act on.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Confidently apply AI tools and automation as part of your everyday workflow.
Who we’re looking for:
You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and making life easier for others. You're naturally organised, commercially aware and take pride in delivering exceptional service while continuously looking for better ways of working.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in life insurance administration, relationship management and/or operations
- In-depth knowledge of life insurance products, policy administration, and regulatory requirements
- Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) RG146 advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – people genuinely come first
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Confidence using technology and the ability to quickly learn new systems and AI-enabled tools.
- Is proactive, solutions-focused and enjoys improving processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to service delivery
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia
