About the Role

This is a hands on Primary Classroom Teacher opportunity for someone who is confident taking ownership of a class and building strong learning momentum quickly. The school is looking for a strong operator who can combine clear routines, explicit teaching and calm consistency to create a settled, productive learning environment.

You'll be supported by a collaborative team and clear leadership expectations, with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and trauma-informed practice. Teachers who can confidently articulate their classroom approach (structure, behaviour supports, engagement strategies and differentiation) will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
  • Establish consistent routines and a calm, orderly learning environment
  • Differentiate for diverse learning needs
  • Build strong relationships with students and families
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture

You will have
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education (Primary or P-12)
  • Current or pending Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Demonstrated success as a primary classroom teacher
  • Strong behaviour management and proactive classroom culture building
  • Berry Street Education Model knowledge/training (highly regarded)
