About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Kitchen Assistant/Chef to join the culinary team at Yakunboys Private Limited. This is a part-time position based in the Upper Paya Lebar, North-East Region. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our kitchen operations, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that delight our customers. What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and presentation standards

Assisting with food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, and marinating ingredients

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment

Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

Supporting the head chef and senior kitchen staff with daily kitchen operations

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management

Plating and garnishing dishes to ensure visual appeal and consistency

Contributing ideas to improve menu offerings and kitchen efficiency

Responding promptly to service demands during busy periods

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, whether as a kitchen assistant or chef

Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods

Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation

Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards team members

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen tasks

Flexibility and reliability in meeting scheduling requirements

Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
