Self Managed is a specialist SMSF accounting practice built around a guaranteed pipeline of 100+ new SMSF clients per year. We're looking for a principal tax agent to lead the practice from day one.

About the role

This is a founding role. You'll act as the principal registered tax agent, sign off on all lodgements, and own the compliance quality of everything that leaves the practice. You'll manage client relationships directly, coordinate with approved SMSF auditors, and build and document internal processes as the practice scales. As client volume grows you'll hire and supervise junior accounting staff.

You won't spend a day on business development — that side is handled.

What we're looking for

— Current TPB registration as an individual tax agent — non-negotiable
— CPA or CA qualified with a minimum of five years' experience in SMSF accounting
— Solid understanding of SMSF legislation, sole purpose test, and ATO compliance requirements
— Experience with property-owning SMSFs and limited recourse borrowing arrangements strongly preferred
— Comfortable leading a small practice independently — this is not a back-office support role
— Class Super or BGL proficiency preferred
