An opportunity has become available for a Transport Scheduler to join our operations team at our Burton, SA depot. We are searching for someone who thrives in a busy environment, prides themselves on safe and compliant scheduling, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to work every day. Prior experience in the transport industry is preferred but not essential.

Your primary role will be planning and scheduling daily transport operations, matching drivers and vehicles to jobs, keeping documentation tight, and coordinating with the workshop and customers to keep everything on time.

About the Role

This position is full time, working a 5 days on, 3 days off roster. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Planning and scheduling daily transport operations, allocating drivers and vehicles to meet deadlines

Creating and managing jobs in our Transport Management System (TMS)

Preparing and processing transport documentation and paperwork

Coordinating fleet maintenance with our workshop team

Managing fatigue and safety compliance across the fleet

Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve day-to-day issues

Supporting other team members and departments as required

About You

You're organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable working autonomously. You'll bring:

Experience with a Transport Management System (or similar), preferred

Excellent planning, prioritising and time management skills

Sound experience with Microsoft programs, particularly Excel and Word

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with drivers, staff, and customers

A professional, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

A reliable, flexible, and team-orientated approach to work, including availability for the occasional after-hours call

A transport or supply chain background, along with an understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), heavy vehicle legislation and fatigue management, will be highly regarded
