As a Solution Architect in TMR's Strategy and Architecture team, you will provide solution architecture development, governance, assurance and advisory services across the ICT solution lifecycle. You will help deliver solutions that are fit for purpose, secure, compliant, scalable, supportable and sustainable, while aligning with business requirements and TMR and Queensland Government architecture frameworks, policies, standards and principles.
In this role, you will:
- Develop conceptual and logical solution architectures that translate business requirements into implementable systems and solutions
- Produce architecture artefacts, patterns and integration approaches, and define target-state architectures aligned with enterprise architecture, road maps, principles and standards
- Maintain clear and comprehensive architecture documentation
- Provide governance oversight across the project lifecycle and support architecture review and exemption processes
- Review and assure solution designs developed internally or by vendors
- Identify architectural, technical and operational risks, dependencies and impacts
- Act as a trusted adviser to business and technical stakeholders, facilitating discussions with customers, suppliers and project teams - Present architecture options and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide architectural guidance during delivery, mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of the Solution Architecture practice.
To be considered, you will need a minimum of 15 years' experience as a Solution Architect in large and complex enterprise environments, including demonstrated experience as the lead architect for large and complex projects. You will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement and consulting skills, with the ability to provide clear architectural advice and design value-driven solutions.
TOGAF certification, or demonstrable experience with TOGAF or another architecture framework, is required. Experience within a state government department or organisation and an appropriate tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology, will be highly regarded.
This is a permanent, flexible full-time AO8 role based at 532 Beams Road, Carseldine. The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment checks before appointment.
