You’ll be highly systems and technology savvy, confident using AI as part of your day-to-day work and naturally look for ways technology and automation can improve efficiency. Previous experience within a law firm or legal environment is highly desirable, particularly an understanding of trust accounting and the unique financial requirements of a professional services environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent accounting experience
  • Broad financial and management accounting experience
  • Strong Xero experience and confidence navigating finance systems
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring accounting staff
  • Experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, statutory reporting, compliance and audit
  • Legal sector experience and exposure to trust accounting highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of financial controls, governance and process improvement
  • A progressive, technology-enabled approach, with an interest in using AI, automation and contemporary systems to drive efficiencies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to partner with senior leadership
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to quickly understand a business and take ownership
  • Able to commit to 5 days in the office
