Are you an experienced Project Lead who thrives on bringing people together to deliver meaningful outcomes?
NECA Education & Careers is seeking a motivated and collaborative Project Lead to lead the delivery of the SWITCH (Supporting Workforce into Training and Capability Horizon) Project in Tasmania. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant industry initiative that supports workforce development, capability building and training pathways in the Electrotechnology industry across the state.
Reporting to the State Manager – Tasmania, you will coordinate project planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation, governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities to ensure successful project delivery.
About the Role
As Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of the SWITCH Project and supporting related initiatives that contribute to workforce development and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Planning and Delivery
Lead project milestones, schedules, budgets and success measures
Establish governance frameworks, reporting processes and decision-making pathways
Monitor project progress and provide status updates and recommendations
Coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with industry, educators, subject matter experts and external partners
Facilitate workshops, consultation activities and decision-making forums
Navigate competing priorities and support collaborative solutions
Implementation and Continuous Improvement
Monitor project outcomes and implementation effectiveness
Gather feedback and evaluation data to drive continuous improvement
Support successful adoption of project initiatives and deliverables
Budget, Risk and Reporting
Manage project budgets, procurement activities and vendor relationships
Prepare reports, briefs and recommendations for executive and governance groups
Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation capabilities
Experience managing project budgets, governance and risk frameworks
Strong organisational skills with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
Experience using project management methodologies and tools
Desirable:
Agile and/or PRINCE2 certification
Essential:
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Employee) or ability to obtain
