This is an exciting and unique role suitable for anyone looking for a career in sport!

It is a role that sits across TRL Venue Management (typically afternoon and evenings) and Billy's Buddies coaching (typically mornings).

A TRL Competition Venue Manager is responsible for delivering our growing Competitions. It is a role that incorporates a multitude of different responsibilities from managing referees, customer engagement, marketing, refereeing, coaching Junior TRL and administration.

A Billy's Buddies coach is responsible for coaching young children (2-6 yrs) and teaching them the basics of catching, passing and kicking whilst in a fun, social and inclusive environment.

About the brands

Touch Rugby League (TRL) is Australia's fastest growing social sport with up to 1,000 teams competing each week across Australia. We are recruiting for staff for our Brisbane and Ipswich competitions.

Billy's Buddies is a large scale toddler sporting Program that runs at up to 100 locations each year in the greater Brisbane region.

What are the requirements for the role?

We are seeking someone that meets the following criteria:

Candidate has a valid blue-card (or prepared to obtain one);

Candidate has a current First Aid/CPR qualification (or prepared to update qualification prior to commencement);

Has a current driver's licence and access to a car;

Can work at least two weekday evenings;

Can work at least two mornings (preferably including Saturday);

Is prepared to referee; and,

Has strong customer service skills.

Hours and responsibilities?

Hours:

up to 25 hours for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing multiple weeknight competitions throughout Brisbane.

Coaching several sessions each week (across mornings) for Billy's Buddies.

Refereeing where required to do so (training will be provided).

Assisting with TRL Junior competitions (when in season).

Assisting with any administrative work that may need completing.
