Vitality Recruitment is working with a well-established WA business in the power generation space to find an A-Grade Electrician who wants to get into diesel generators, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and industrial welding equipment,

If you know your way around electrical systems and want work with more variety than standard install and maintenance, this is a solid move. You'll be commissioning and testing gear in the workshop, sorting out faults, and getting systems ready before they head out to customers across Australia. It's hands-on, technical, and you're trusted to see a job through from start to finish,

The role

You'll take equipment from workshop prep through to customer handover:

Commissioning, testing and certifying diesel generators, BESS and industrial welding equipment before delivery

Fault-finding, diagnostics and system optimisation across the product range

Reading and working from electrical drawings, schematics and technical specs

Setting up and supporting generator control and monitoring systems (ComAp and similar)

Heading out on-site for installs, commissioning and customer start-ups when needed

Keeping everything compliant with AS/NZS standards and company quality procedures

Maintaining accurate service, commissioning and compliance records

Mostly workshop-based, with the odd trip to regional or remote sites.

What you'll need

WA A-Grade Electrical Licence

Experience with diesel generators, power generation or industrial electrical systems

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Good understanding of Australian electrical standards and compliance

Able to work on your own and take ownership of the job in front of you

Sound communication and comfortable dealing with customers

Happy to travel occasionally to regional and remote sites
